Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort is the closest lodging to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. I think the name is a little misleading, because it sounds like you need to bring an RV or tent with you, right? That isn’t the case at all. Lake Rudolph has 200 RV’s and 72 Cabins that you can rent. After a day and half of visiting museums and historic sites, I knew my kids were looking forward to spending the rest of the day at an amusement park. Did you know that there’s a diamond mine that’s open to the public? And that you get to keep what you find? Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas is home to a 37.5-acre diamond field where you can experience a truly unique experience. The field sits atop an eroded volcanic crater that produced diamonds and other gems. While your chances of finding a gigantic diamond are not very good, small diamonds are found in the park nearly every day.
