Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort is the closest lodging to Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. I think the name is a little misleading, because it sounds like you need to bring an RV or tent with you, right? That isn’t the case at all. Lake Rudolph has 200 RV’s and 72 Cabins that you can rent. When I found out that the Cave City Tourist & Convention Center had arranged for us to stay at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, I was very excited.
We had stayed there for our 2002 family vacation and I looked forward to returning. The kids had been much younger on our first trip. In fact, my youngest daughter, Camille, hadn’t been born yet. I was pregnant with her at the time. Here’s a picture from that trip.

Snapping this photo felt very gratifying to me. Why? I think it’s because it captured the essence of Grand Teton National Park perfectly, without the need for words. So maybe I should just not say anything about it and end my struggle to find the right words. The stunningly beautiful Grand Teton Mountain Range is the centerpiece of the park, but that’s not the only reason to visit–you must see the wildlife, and it’s the combination of the mighty beast against the backdrop of the rugged peaks that makes you pause and ponder the wonder of God’s creation.
