When I contacted the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau to ask for help planning our stay in OKC, they recommended that we stay in the Bricktown entertainment district. There are several hotels from which to choose in Bricktown. We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites which was very conveniently located. It is located right next to the ballpark (some rooms have a view into the ballpark!) and an easy walk from the Bricktown Water Taxi.
There was a bit of confusion at check-in. We had reserved a room with two queen beds and the front desk clerk thought we had a room with a single king. Before I had time to panic, he quickly figured out that he had a suite with two king-size beds and a sleeper sofa available and upgraded us at no extra charge. I was very grateful. After a long drive from New Mexico with several stops along the way, we were ready to hit the sack. Our suite was spacious and comfortable. One room had a bed and a sleeper sofa.
The kids slept in this room and my husband and I took the smaller room with another king-size bed.
Each room had its own bathroom and the larger room had a small kitchenette with a microwave and small refrigerator.
Just in case the location, spacious suite, and free hot breakfast wasn’t enough to deem this a family-friendly hotel, the Hampton Inn Oklahoma City-Bricktown sealed the deal with the swimming pool.
The indoor activity pool is perfect for families. There’s a shallow end with a small slide and water features as well as a deeper side with room to splash around and shoot some baskets.
There’s also a hot tub, but to be clear, I don’t recommend this for adults looking for a quiet place to relax. This is a kid-friendly hot tub where you might encounter a few of those brightly colored balls.
We had a wonderful time in Oklahoma City and would definitely recommend The Hampton Inn in Bricktown as a convenient, family-friendly hotel.

Many thanks to the Oklahoma City Convention and Visitors Bureau for coordinating our trip. I paid for our room at the Hampton Inn & Suites at a discounted rate. My opinions are my own.
